MEP joins Christmas Card Competition
The designer of the card Alyn chooses will receive a trip to Brussels to see Alyn at the European Parliament and a visit to their school.
The 11 runners up will all receive Euro goodie bags and a school visit from Alyn Smith.
Joining the competition Alyn said
"I'm one of those grown ups who loves Christmas and I'm excited about this chance to get involved with Highland schools as they build up to the festive season. I'm really looking forward to seeing the designs from the children."
"I plan on playing Santa and delivering the prizes myself, so hopefully I'll get the chance to talk to the children about what I do in Europe and how Europe affects them. At the end of the day though, the important part is that they enjoy taking part in the competition and that whoever gets the chance to come to Brussels enjoys the European experience."
Mr Smith will pick his card from the entries to Highland Council's Christmas Card competition. The winner will be announced at the beginning of December.
