Earlston Sixth Years To Quiz MEP
SNP MEP Alyn Smith will speak to the students as part of their Advanced Higher course.
Speaking prior to the visit Alyn said,
"I'm delighted to be visiting Earlston High School and hope that I can be of help to the pupils studying European Politics.
"It's good to see Europe included as part of the curriculum and I'm anticipating some tough questions from the class.
"I would also like to encourage them to think about the opportunities Europe has to offer as they prepare to leave school and go to work or university.
"Spending some time abroad can provide some amazing life experiences as well as looking good on a CV.
"If anyone is looking for any advice then, having studied in Germany and Poland myself, I'm more than happy to help.
"An independent Scotland, as supported by the majority of Scots, has to be able to take it's place on the international stage and our young people are the key to that.
