Smith Urges Scots: Don't Miss Out On EU Funds
Alyn Smith MEP is urging Scots to take advantage of EU funding opportunities.
Smith said:
"There’s a new guide on EU funding just published by the European Commission to help people find their way around the funding maze. Whether you are a researcher with an idea for a project, or an entrepreneur looking for financial help, this booklet is for you.
"The Europe 2020 strategy aims to get the European economy back on track. At the heart that is the conviction that we need research & development and innovation to create smart, sustainable growth and get Europe out of the current economic crisis.
"Scotland, along with the rest of the EU has suffered as a result of the recession and so it is imperative we make the most of the opportunities available.
“Everybody who thinks they might benefit should get in there and see what the opportunities are."
