Highland Primaries Encouraged To Enter Euro Competition
SNP MEP Alyn Smith is giving his backing to the contest being run by Europe Direct Youth Link Scotland.
Speaking on the issue Alyn said;
"This is a great way to mark the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and I hope that primary schools across the Highlands will get involved and encourage their pupils to enter the competition.
"The winning pupil will not only get some excellent prizes for themselves but also win a free subscription to Eurodesk which is a great source of information on the EU for the whole school.
"It's a fun way to raise awareness of the history of the European Union and the role it now plays in our everyday lives and I'm confident schools across the area will get involved.
